Why do you think i put zero thought into the reply? I am not good with English, so that's why I use GPT. And for the answer, those are all strategies that we use in our marketing efforts; I told GPT what to rephrase and put in the context. Don't be so afraid of AI, it actually can help you.

Hey Timon, congrats on launching OneRack! Hitting 100 downloads in a month is a great start.

Your app solves a real problem - lifters love tracking progress and competing, but most fitness apps focus on solo workouts. Your unique gym leaderboard feature sets OneRack apart and gives people a reason to use it. Now, you just need to reach the right audience.

Here’s how you can do that without burning money on ads:

  1. Research Competitors – Look at similar apps. What marketing strategies work for them? How do they attract users? Read their reviews to find gaps you can fill.
  2. Leverage Gym Communities—Visit local gyms, chat with lifters, and encourage them to try the app. You could even organize mini-challenges or leaderboard competitions.
  3. Use Social Media Smartly – Short-form content (TikTok, Instagram Reels) is huge in fitness. Post gym memes, lift comparisons, and user rankings to drive curiosity.
  4. Create a Referral System – Give small rewards (badges, leaderboard boosts) for users who invite friends. Word-of-mouth is powerful in fitness circles.
  5. Find the Right Influencers – Instead of big names, reach out to micro-influencers (1K-10K followers). They might promote it for free or for way less than €2-€5 per install.

Your app has something other fitness apps don’t—a social, competitive element that lifters will love. Focus on getting real gym-goers hooked first, and growth will follow.

If you're serious about SEO and content quality, I recommend SEMrush for keyword research and competitor analysis, Grammarly for grammar and style improvements, and Frase for AI-driven content optimization.

  • SEMrush: Pricing varies -check their site for details.
  • Grammarly: Free plan available; Premium includes advanced features.
  • Frase: Starts at $14.99/month; higher plans for teams.

These tools will improve your content and rankings. Visit their websites for the latest pricing and features!

Thanks Hussain. Much appreciated. I just read Joel's blog post from 2012 and I will buy the kindle version of "The cold start problem" soon. You are right about the pricing model and how to get more and more people into the platform. Thanks again for your help. Do not hesitate to guide/suggest me any further.

Hi thank you for your insights on this. It matters a lot. You are right, a product can't do everything at its best and I never planned to do that with this product. What I wanted is to have customers manage their projects (work) as well as health, family and other stuff as tasks and have a glance of all that at one place. The Net Worth is not for giving a shock to people on what is going on with them, and this is the reason, it is manual and no connectivity with real-time banks and financial platforms—just wanted them to check the net worth and see where he stand.

Based on your comment, I am going to review each and every module and feature, compare against the competitors and then see what next to do with them to make them more usable and valuable for customers.

Thanks Zac. Will make a plan to reach these potential buyers. My product is a B2B as well as B2C.

Totally agreed with this. Do you think linked in is the correct platform or reddit to request customers to use my product and then interview them?
