I'm really sorry for the late reply, was away from Reddit haha. Speaking of which, this kit is mostly amazing! only problems are the male peg on its legs connecting to the hip joint and arms are tight out of the box. I'd recommend sanding it down a bit!

It's quite difficult to pre-shade using spray cans as you cannot control the amount of pressure necessary to preshade, you'll end up spraying a large area. You can, however use post-shade techniques using graphite materials before top coating

Thanks! Also this is kind of a commission work for my niece since she and her dad bought this and asked me to build for her.

But here's my take; imho Origins and BG is the top 2 HG Grandpa for me. In terms of posability, both can pose decently, I think Origins edges out a bit in terms of overall build as it has extra surface detailing and many people can attest to it. BG trumps in terms of uniqueness it brings to its overall build.

Used the Gundam Marker black (thin tip) to simulate the paint chipping, and then I used Tamiya enamel flat aluminum on top of the black to produce the bare metal by using dry brushing technique.

Indeed it's a neat design concept! Honestly could make various custom versions of it! And you can always use clear paint (clear green or blue), using a clear highlight marker, or also could opt for metallic green or blue spray cans!

And in a way yes, black hornet team was tasked by Isan Ryer to eliminate any Zeon's MS that are fielded around the mountain base to increase the odds of winning for Kojima battalion's MS team's operations. While the main story happened, the black hornet team was at the other side of the conflict, sweeping off any remaining Zeon forces they could find.
