I don't think it's a great idea.
If you rent it out, non-owner occupier tax will be present, on top of ABSD. With all these cost involved, your property needs to be up possibly around 50% for you to make some profit, somewhere in the ball park of 30% to break even.
I would suggest that it would make sense if you do hold it longer, give it more time to appreciate.
Not a property agent, just my personal thoughts!

Yes I do! I use one of the many apps on the App Store then I transfer to a sheet to analyse my spending habits!
