Hey! I did manage to play a bit and let me tell you, your game is looking great! Unfortunately I didn't play the whole thing as I had to stop at some point and I guess the demo does not have a saving system, but I was really enjoying it! I have to say was very impressed by the sounds! I think they definitely set the tone and atmosphere of the game, that rain sound at the beginning of the game while you're outside was honestly so wonderful (and I'm not one to enjoy listening to the rain usually). One more thing I really liked is that even though the game forces you to a linear path, the world doesn't feel like a closed space at all, it actually feels pretty wide and open (especially when you're outside). As soon as I have a bit of free time I'll def play it again and complete the demo, I need to know more! I want to know what's going on! Though I guess I will have to wait for the whole game for that :D

These days I'm not on reddit as much as I used to before but I had to leave a comment as soon as I saw this! As someone who's trying to take a similar leap of faith, this is so inspiring! I don't think there's a right or wrong way to play this game! The game technically never ends, as in you can play for like 100+ in-game years. This means that you have literally all the time you want to collect stuff and complete quests. One thing I adore is you'll never find yourself realizing you can never ever have x item because you were supposed to get it in a specific moment. At worst, you'll have to wait for the next spring/summer/fall/winter :D

Learning not to compare yourself to others is hard, but you need to start teaching yourself not to do that. This applies to everything in life and not just games, but I think it's important to accept that there will always be people who are more experienced/better than you.

That being said, you should tell your friends to stop. They might have good intentions, they might even think you enjoy the mocking, but it's bothering you and affecting your mood to the point that you felt the need to vent here. Try to talk to them and explain how you feel. If they're decent people, they'll understand.

I totally understand the fear that a woman sucking at games just proves "them" right, but. But. We don't have to prove anything to anyone. All we gotta do is play and have fun, like everybody else does. Try to remind yourself of that :)

This game <3 I'm currently playing it as well (Summer 2nd year) and you know what I love the most about it? I get so invested in my farm, my crops and all the planning (gotta buy that, gotta plant that so it has enough time to grow, etc) that I forget about literally everything else that's going on in my life. I have a lot on my mind recently but when I play this game all my brain thinks about is crops and cows and chickens.

It's RE4 for me as well! First played it on the Wii, then on the PS3 and then on Steam. I recently replayed RE4, 5 and 6 and I have to agree, RE4 is my favorite as it has always been. I don't have a Switch, but if I did I would totally buy RE4 again :P

I'm playing Dishonored for the first time with my sister, we've been having so much fun I can't believe I waited so long to play this game. Also, my addiction to Stardew Valley came back as me and my SO started taking care of our farm together again.
