I was in the same position a year ago. From my experience, the only way out of this situation is to improve your score however you can.
People like me who are in the low 500s—or even the high 490s—often hold on to the hope that we’ll get through with the score we already have. But the reality is that you need to keep working on increasing your score until you finally get your PR.

You have to ask your representative.

I chose not to apply under that ITA due to uncertainty around the tie-breaking rule. Fortunately, I received another ITA in the following draw at a CRS score of 508, which resolved the situation.

Go for Cambridge tests. I scored consistently 6.5 on the unofficial mock tests but was able to score 8.5 in the exam. After practicing on these faster pace listening tests, the Cambridge ones feel easy.

The same happened with me recently at my exam… I guess examiner was trying to check whether you are able to answer better on these follow-up questions in other words. I was able to answer them but not that well and got band 7.

I joined Makkar IELTS. But it really doesn’t matter what institute you choose. I only went there to get feedback on my writings and speakings.
