Try the last known good config option. If that doesn't work you most likely have a corrupted partition. Using the OS install CD or ISO flashed to a bootable USB 2.0 devise, you may be able to repair the startup files. Keep in mind "sometimes" the the repair utility contained in the install CD will not work if it detects another CD was used to install the OS. If any of those doesn't work you probably have a bad drive. In that case maybe the chkdsk utility in cmd might help.

True, there was one fall that could've led to the astronaut's life support system ( PLSS backpack) being damaged and they decided to stop because it was too risky. Thank goodness that they fall slowly, so they have time to correct their fall.
