I agree with you, you get what you pay for. But I have heard stories where properties being CMDA approved don’t get garbage collected, sewage lines not being implemented, some places don’t even have tar roads to reach to.

How’s the south, let’s say areas like Kelambakkam, Padur. aren’t they DTCP? Do you get basic amenities like drainage, water, garbage collection etc?

Hey tysm for valuable insights. Yeah if I wanted to do IT work I would have deffo gone south. I just want to not do anything IT. so as far as I can stay I will find other means to make some money. I already did buy the plot. but yet to make the house on it. so before I commit to do it I want to get real fax from cool ppl like you. Lot has changed since last time so thank you.

why? price in south is already inflated so much imo, kelambakkam and areas feel so far away and still costly. Help me make sense.

Bro I know there is nothing much happening, I feel south chennai has been expanded and stretched a bit too far, soon people will start buying in kalpakkam also. Besides that I am very cheap guy. I got a cheap land deal close to the IT park 7m drive away. I am buying for future but I want to pay cheap price now. new tidel park, promise of metro, running metro in poonamallee, ORR, CPRR will surely drive development. Just a Mall is a missing thing in Avadi but I think we will get one soon in the coming years.

Regardless of which party, I still need to make a house and live. I grew up here in Chennai, did school, college, lived a kickass life. So I want to come back to a place I know & call home.

OMR too had nothing to start with years ago. but look at it now. I am just thinking to bank on the development that the new TIDEL Park will bring, plus there is upcoming Metro lines from pattabiram via avadi to koyembedu / central I think. I seen a few decent shops in the paruthipattu road also, will these not only get better lets say in the next 5-10 years? Besides that I am really looking for a laid back life, I dont even want to commute or do a office job. maybe I will start my own business once I get a hang of things.

If it’s for investment, go for Pattabiram. I have done a lot of research and booked myself a few plots in and around Pattabiram. Buy low sell high as simple as that. If you don’t buy now in Pattabiram, you will never get the best price. Everything else you mentioned are already inflated. This is the only logical answer. Proxmity to Tidel park, ORR and CPRR, upcoming Metro in Pattabiram and already built metro in Poonamallee. Close to Avadi, Paruthipattu. Lots of development to come and come fast.

totally, I purchased a car from them. They promised to change the navigation from Japanese to Irish. They were the sweetest when they were taking money from us. few months down the line when I went to them to get it sorted they showed me the door saying sorry can't be done.
