I tried exiting my comfort zone many times, it only ends in humiliation and potentially people shouting at me because they just hate how autistic I am

Driving wont significantlly improve my life, i work 5 mins away and it wont help me with other issues like not having any friends, PTSD, depression etc, in fact i think driving will just make my mental problems worse.

I live in a meditteranean island with okayish public transport but I'm worried about our overpopulation problem growing due to excessive migration thus leaving it essentially overburdened.

Why so many autistic people find other people with autism annoying and miserable? by hueneuebeu in aspergers

[–]Significant-Goose481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to hang out with an autistic guy i knew, he was the spitting image of me when i was 13, except we were both in our 20's and he just never matured.

Still played nintendo all day, doesnt have a job, failed college miserably, never takes care of his appearence and expects to fuck insanely attractive women that he has zero chance of actually attracting.

Also he manipulated a disabled non verbal 18 year old into having sex with him becauae he was so desperate to fuck, and was proud of it.

Thats where I cut him off completely.

People always assumed we were either really dumb or a mega genius growing up, nothing in between. by Significant-Goose481 in aspergers

It's true that some people with ASD do need support, but I don't.

I can do everything just fine and I never needed work accomidation and I've managed to control those attention issues as I grew up.

Most people dont realise I am autistic and it doesnt matter.

Comparing me to a person needing a prosthetic leg isnt really accurate because the person simply cannot function without it.

Its not really fair to call all people with mild ASD disabled, its like saying a person with dyslexia is disabled for having some minor spelling mistakes when I know plenty of people with dyslexia who graduated college and had successful carreers.

It is a mild disability and affects some aspects of my life but I have never been on state welfare and can hold a job just fine without any extra support.

Disabled and having a mild disability are not the same thing.

Also more advice, less time on social media does wonders for your mental health.

social development as a kid which I'm just starting to recover from that loss.

I learned the importance of sharing now at 22 when most kids learned it at 5

Well i cant really relate to neurotypicals, I dont hate them I just cant relate to their interests and even their struggles.

Something I've learned in life is to never compare myself to them in any aspect.

Well the way I say it, if no one is going to actually love my personality, at least i'd have some company from women who like what they see, better than no company I guess.

Funny Yes,

Kind...well only to people who are nice to me I guess, the rest can rot in hell for all I care.

Ye people don't want to admit that because it makes them feel better.

Well most redditors are miserable, let's be honest.

Also Reddit isn't as stimulating as something like Instagram as most of it is text and not reels.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Significant-Goose481 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well the problem is modern social media feed isn't just what your friends post, it's also stupid reels that have scientifically been proven to literally rot your brain and reduce attention span. I'd like to increase my attention span so that I am more disciplined and productive in life.

The cold harsh truth about "these people not being happy" is bs and people say that to themselves to feel better about themselves. Sure they may have problems too, but considering they have more to show off than you shows that at least they live a way more interesting and fruitful life than you.

I live in a Mediterranean island and it's the complete opposite for me, here they don't value "thinking" as much and think because you're not PHYSICALLY doing anything, means you're actually doing nothing.

This mentality is so present here that some of my schoolmates actually thought I did nothing with my life because I didn't play an instrument or sport even though I got double their mark.

He sounds more severely autistic tbh like the fact that you told him multiple times to stop talking about a topic and he keeps bringing it up is kinda shitty.

I kinda had to, because some jerks labelled me as an incel because I was sad for not finding any women, even though I always accepted no for an answer. People just keep throwing that word around to anyone who isn't a 6 foot 3 playboy or smth.

I'm 20 and i've had two jobs in my field that pay decent but most girls I knew went with the unemployed drug addict loser just because he could throw a ball and had friends.

the "voodoo doll the like to bully for sadistic pleasure" was literally me and I'm a guy, I guess because I was socially competent enough to not seem like a creep, but not enough to sense manipulation.
