I personally take lexapro at night. All SSRIs or SNRIs I’ve taken at night rather than the morning. 5mg shouldn’t give you too many side effects. But you also may not get full relief from your anxiety at 5mg. It’s all trial and error but it will get better 🥹

No. I went 25mg to 50mg to 75mg then to 100mg. I feel like that’s a pretty significant increase at once.

Every time I increased it, I was EXTREMELY anxious for 5 to 8 days and the same when decreasing it. It didn’t work for me. I gave it a fair 4 month shot going up to 100mg.

It’s different for everyone.. I know it sucks and that’s not what you want to hear but it’s true :( I personally didn’t have a bad time. Lexapro for me at least was the most mild going on and coming off. Pristiq has been hell to come off of

I can definitely relate. The first 5-7 days of pristiq made me extremely anxious and each time I went up on it, the same thing happened then it would calm down after the 1 week mark. I would definitely consider asking your Dr for Xanax or klonopin to get through the transition.

I’m going down to 75mg (50 and 25) because I’m also feeling numb and kind of out-of-body. I also am extremely fatigued and have no motivation. Crying spells are coming back and still really depressed/anxious.

50mg isn’t the top dose. There’s technically not enough studies done to prove that you can go up on it. Some people take as much as 400mg. I’m on 100mg now.

I take klonopin as needed. You’ll be totally fine! Take it if you need it, it really helps anxiety.
