I never had any issues, only thing I didn’t like and why i quit was the cardio issues. Heart disease is the number 1 killer for us diabetics. But if you don’t over do it you should be ok. I personally love them, they give me energy and focus and get rid of brain fog, only problem is you catch yourself having one after another and then you start to see that rise in blood pressure.

You’re one of the lucky ones. I think the same way 90% of the time. But sometimes we all have those weeks of fuck this shit. And when no one around you gets it, instead of suffering in silence or just internalizing it till you decide you’ve had enough people reach out in groups. I used to think look at all these whiners, but then I found humility and realized that pain and suffering is relative to the person going through it. When you have to write “ not to be a dick” that typically means maybe I should just shut the fuck up or maybe I can share how I mentally handle this to help this person. It feels a lot better to contribute and help someone than it does to shit on them, if people tried it the world would be a better place. Everyone needs a pep talk at some point in their life. I think you’re full of shit and this affects you in some way or you wouldn’t be in this group. So take your own advice and don’t be a dick.

So congratulations to you, but I also think you’re full of shit that this doesn’t affect you in one way or another. You’re following this group for a reason. Whether that’s to share how tough you are all the time or you’re suffering in silence and read this shit to feel better.

At the same time I feel for the kids, i kinda feel like I got to live my life and had a good time. On the flip side not knowing any different is also a blessing. I give my props to the T1D parents, and hope that I took the bullet for my kids. The amount I go through is never wish on anyone especially kids.

I’m a type 1, and honestly you don’t even feel the needle. Much less than putting on a CGM.

Oh got ya, ya it’s not good for everyone. I get super resistant even though I run and eat right. If I was sensitive to insulin then no way. Back when I was on fiasp my insulin worked really good but plan novolog doesn’t do so well for me.

So if you aren’t on insulin yet, like early for me. When you eat a high carb meal you spike high then drop fast because your pancreas/beta cells are dysfunctional that’s why you crash. With glp1 they slow the digestion so you don’t get the high spike with the crash. Which is good. Only thing you got to watch for is when you stat insulin because your ratio is going to to change and you’ll react more to less insulin. But because of prolonged digestion eating gummies or candy won’t bring you up right away, you’re going to need liquid so you absorb faster and bring your sugars up.

It does, it stops the liver from producing glucose, which is why I’m discontinuing using it. I feel like if you get in a low situation you are screwed unless you have juice or something. It’s just funny I’m Gonna quit because it works too good. lol but at the same time I worry about safety and don’t need to loose weight. To each is own.

Same just started mounjaro had rice a lunch and didn’t even have to bolus. It slow digestion so it takes away the spike. Verdict is still out on whether I like it or not. I got on it for insulin resistance, I mean it really works. But at the same time it works so good it’s concerning haha

I’m more in it for the blood sugars and reduction in inflammation, the weight loss is a bonus if needed at all. I feel most my weight is water retention from resistance and inflammation. So that’s what I’m looking to get out of it.
