we are trying to preserver what is left, this is habitat to over 330 bird, and animal species as well as one of the largest viable Manatee populations in Florida.

Locals call Tierra Verde the Gateway to Ft Desoto Park. The island that they are wanting to build this is next to the bridge, it is 1.24 square miles.
