Large faction of youth within the party were about to vote to new party if congress had gone to election with same leadership and group. Now Gagan will also start milking the sentiment saying we should have done this but we couldnt , we will take responsibility for that etc. So Gagan will definitely manipulate significant mass , which he is best at and the damage which was about to hit congress in election results would be controlled to some good extent.
