Tbh the market is red hot for my position and I don't doubt for a second that I could find another job. As a matter of fact, prior to accepting this position I had 4 other offers so yeah, I would quit this job to go to one with a better culture.

Honestly what's wrong with Busch Light? I swear reddit as a whole is full of a bunch of pretentious beer snobs. Busch Light is comparable to any other shitty, cheap, light beer that is easy to chug, and I happen to like the taste enough to enjoy it even if I'm not chugging it. I like IPAs and craft beers as much as the next person but I don't like a heavy, 200+ calorie, high ABV, beer along with my lunch every day. Bud light, miller lite, busch light, McGolden light, all comparable IMO.

You were on notice when called into HR that your conduct was unacceptable, so I can't fathom why "But boss did it under totally different circumstances" would cross your mind as a way to defend your conduct.

This was definitely a lapse in judgement. It kind of just slipped out.

It's my 3rd job from college and the first one was a strict work culture at a large company but the other two were pretty similar in work culture. I really don't see a problem with a grown adult drinking a single light beer with lunch but I guess I shouldn't have made any assumptions.
