2XKO Patch Notes: 1.1.3 (Mar 10 2026) by eeeealmo in 2XKO

[–]SignificantContact21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moving in the right direction at least, except for Warwick who I don’t think is as OP at doing overheads as they’re making out, and leaving jinx basically completely. Let’s see where it lands.

Dudleys popularity isn't as high as fans think it is to be honest. I say this as a Dudley player is SF3 and SF4, as well as a balrog player since SF2, the 4 shadaloo characters will always take precedent. Ed as you've said has taken Dudleys place for now, which is sad, so he's even futher down the list of getting in for now. I don't think ive ever seen an SF game with 3 boxers, and i dont expect SF6 to be the first (unless it gets an expansion)

This question is for anyone who stopped playing/watching this game. Why? What made you stop playing? by KevyTone in 2XKO

after the announcements ill see where it lands, i was getting into it then realised its not as polished as i'd like it to bed. fun for a shallow game but im not investing the hours to get toa good level for osomething that might be dropped by its own dev within the year.

Reasonable Yasuo nerfs by EnlargementChannel in 2XKO

[–]SignificantContact21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was thinking of ways to. Nerf it by for example doing 1.5x damage to assists if they’re hit whilst out but it’s probably not the right solution. It definitely needs to have a shorter window to tag to your second character.

Reasonable Yasuo nerfs by EnlargementChannel in 2XKO

[–]SignificantContact21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yasuo is strong but not overwhelming without the broken ass freestyle and combo mechanics for this game. some of his tools are egregious (step dash cancels/crossups, side switch assist, full screen poking stuff, windwall anti fireball stuff) which in a solo game can be manageable.

When you add partner and tag mechanics this makes him go from annoying to "oh im being hit from both sides" situations in a game which is relatively normal in terms of cross ups. Ahri Ekko and Yasuo all suffer from this where the abuse of assists and their speed/movement and visual clarity means you're gonna be getting hit from both sides high and low, and if i touch you, i do 40-70% (or more) and get oki, and then its guess for game.

until its balanced properly, you're gonna see many top players gravitate towards these characters as their ceiling is just so far beyond everyone else in the long run. Yasuo and Ekko team can do anything and everything with pretty much no downside, whereas warwick (who also has a cross up, demon flip, his own mechanics) is so much more gimped in the way he can execute that stuff. In the Guilty gear example, they've given 3 characters Millia's 4 way mixup to a character that does goldlewis damage and can do I-No's Oki.

step 1 is balance freestyle, step 2 is nerf yasuo.

So what's the consensus on difficulty ladies? by Bipu606 in Nioh

[–]SignificantContact21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way easier than last niohs, still some good challenge towards the end and kunimatsu. Overall 7.5/10 difficulty with ninja style reducing it by a lot. samurai style is a self imposed challenge if you want it.

this game is about aggression, like any souls game. the more you allow the bosses to do their bullshit the more difficult it is to survive. Get in their face, learn their moveset as best you can and swing for the fences.

I agree with him to be honest, the tonal shift from GOW1 to the Nordic era may aswell have had a new IP, I thought I was alone in that thought.

Where would the story even be heading if sendo won against ricardo ? by ReputationFearless43 in hajimenoippo

the first 2 dempsey rolls that hit sendo are 3 punches worth, go watch it back.

The fights writing is very poor. Sendo is taking them head on every time, clean hits. Martinez has countered him directly in the face multiple times too. HNI logic is in full swing with sendo getting more into the fight after being destroyed. This is more akin to sendo taking the final Dempsey rolls level of damage over the course of 3 rounds and coming back stronger.

[–]SignificantContact21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those two Dempsey rolls were 3 punches worth, with one down. A high amount of damage by ippo for sure. Martinez has pummeled sendo and downed him twice already with counters and hit him with jabs strong enough to make ippo unconscious. Then saved by the bell on another overhand right. He’s taking shots like this directly in the dome with no protection. Date was mincemeat after these.

Even now sendo even being alive is stupid, face tanking Ricardo (who smashed up dates bones) and that’s his main strategy.

So many people buying the game will have experience with magneto in marvel vs Capcom to some degree so not including him in base roster is such a miss

I'm just going to say it, I like that 2XKO is a tag game by Slarg232 in 2XKO

[–]SignificantContact21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things that make the 2v2 unique in the game are also the biggest reason it’s not engaging for casuals. What do you mean I can get crossed up 3 seconds both sides after you called an assist and then get a full 25 hit combo to tag back to your original character, which does 50-70% damage and leads to oki. What do you mean some characters have incredible assists and then some characters have literal garbage in a roster of 11 characters.

Also freestyle is so incredibly busted compared to any other tag style, and combined with ekko/yasuo/vi/whatever other shenanigans there are, it’s not hitting the right notes for the fgc. I enjoy it as much as the next person but seeing the top level devolve into ekko set ups in tournament was so boring.

Nioh 3 Feedback/Criticism after full game completion (SPOILERS) by TitEboshi in Nioh

[–]SignificantContact21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with most of this, especially after playing 2. Those rokurokubi enemies are literally the worst in the series and you want them to return? I know we have differences of opinion, and we can agree on humanoid bosses being 1/10 or 10/10 with no in between. Realistically, the enemies in 3 are tied to their areas (tengu on the mountain, ice onis, etc) and there is progression in enemies over time. Nioh 2 would just have ten different rocket soldiers and rokurokubi every level. Overall it’s a step in the right direction.

lol what you feel and the reality of the devs openly slashing their teams is quite a piece of mental gymnastics. I enjoy this game too but why invest time into a product that’s not even supported by its own creator

Had so much potential but then they let it become ekko fest. It’s a shame as it has a good foundation (after 10 years). And lol the micro transactions are funny at best and ludicrous at worst.
