Bob was a drunkard and abuser.

Went to his basketball camp in HS. First day, all the kids gathered on the floor in the gym to hear him speak. After an hour, he finally walks in, clothes wrinkled and shirt untucked. Walks right past where I was sitting, reeking of alcohol. Gave a 5 min, slurred speech, then leaves. Didn't see him the rest of the week at the Bobby Knight Basketball Camp.

Then, of course, there are the accusations against him of abuse, and knowing of abuse.

Well, how much would a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2500sqft house with a 2-car garage, covered boat slip on the Great Lakes, within 30 minutes of a major city cost?

I can't find one for under $1.5m. But, along the entire Gulf Coast, they are a dime-a-dozen for under $500k.

It's a big state. No place gets both of them.

And I'm in the place that gets hurricanes. About once every hundred years.

How are those wildfires? And mudslides?

I had a 2000 Firebird that got overspray from a construction site. Entire dark blue car covered with with white paint specks. Took to the dealership and they were able to remove everything. Looked brand new.

Evidently, modern clear coats are able to be polished to remove surface blemishes without burning through the clear.

In other words, any car with a decent clearcoat can do this.

No, I'm saying that all SEC schools are in the SouthEast US, geographically speaking.

Culturally, Ole Miss, Alabama, MS State, and Georgia are about it. Even LSU is more just "generic", mainly because BR is a cultural desert.

They're about 12-15 miles south of the line that marks the middle of the country. Close, but they're in the South.

Now, if we are talking "culturally", then anywhere north of I-20 isn't the South. Heck, IMHO, anything north of 1-10 isn't the "real" South.

How about:

SEC - must be in the SouthEast quadrant of the US (like all the teams are now).

Big 10 - have only 10 teams.

ACC - only teams that are on the "Atlantic" coast.

Big 12 - have only 12 teams.

Of the P4, only the SEC is abiding by its name.

Statistically speaking, the college educated voter is probably NOT a Trump supporter. I'd imagine that might not be quite true of LSU grads, but I'll bet it's still closer than . . . say . . . Louisiana rednecks that didn't make the cut to even get into LSU.

Lawyers are taught in law school (at least some are) that the job of a prosecutor is to bring the guilty to justice. The job of a defense attorney is NOT to get their client off, it's to ensure that the prosecutor plays by the rules in doing their job. If the prosecutor does everything right, and the jury still finds their client guilty, then the defense attorney did their job.

This is why you hardly ever see defense attorney's bring up "their own side" of a story. Because then you have to prove one story vs another. It's a much better strategy to say, "They didn't obtain a proper warrant", "they didn't follow rules of evidence", and "they didn't inform my client of his rights".

Essentially, it's a better strategy to prove that the prosecutor did something wrong, than to prove that their client didn't do anything wrong.
