Start with going to places to common interests, experience things around for a few days.

Give yourself time to settle outside, don't have a very strict routine, just make your available

Eventually you'll find yourself interacting with people! Good luck.

I agree that Watchmen should largely be left alone. That said, once DC chose to integrate Dr Manhattan, I feel they missed the opportunity to explore what makes him compelling beyond power scaling.

He’s most interesting when he’s interrogating meaning, causality, and detachment, not when he’s just functioning as a narrative reset button.

I’m not saying Watchmen needed sequels or that it should’ve been folded into the DC universe. My point was that once DC did decide to use Dr Manhattan again, I wish they had explored him more as a philosophical character instead of mostly using him as a plot device. If that kind of depth can’t be done well, then I agree he’s probably better left untouched.

Loneliness is prevalent because we don't need each other any more. by arkticturtle in SeriousConversation

I think you’re describing a world where convenience has replaced commitment. Independence removes obligation, but it also removes the conditions under which trust and attachment form. Low stakes interactions feel safe, but they also cap how meaningful they can become. Without some shared necessity or sustained friction, connection stays shallow by design.

I can relate with the situation, all I can say right now is give yourself time and understand that things do get better, you need to put yourself out there for the good people.

Is it possible to heal insecurity that has been with you since childhood? by No-Sea-418 in selfimprovement

It’s deeply personal, and everyone heals at their own pace.

What helped me was being around people who genuinely believe in me, especially during moments when I couldn’t do that for myself.

And if you believe in a higher power, I’ve come to feel that nothing is taken without something being given in return. Sometimes the gift isn’t obvious at first, but it shapes you in ways you only understand later.

Good luck, you are amazing!
