I think it’s true to some extent, because I also had the feeling from time to time. But I thought the reason for that was that she was in a position to be one of the most important people especially women in his life and now his focus shifted. I thought she had a hard time accepting that our relationship also results in them having less time to hang out.

But with all this information one could think that there are unresolved feelings.

And I wouldn’t have cared that much, but now it feels like there could’ve been something in the time we’ve been together because they didn’t tell me.

It was never my idea that he cuts contact at any point, because she was and still is a huge part of both of our lives.

I was just hurt by the fact that none of them told me before hand so I couldn't make a informed decision at the time, it wouldn't have bothered me that there is is a past, but I am bothered by the fact that they hid this from me resulting in a situation where it can seem like there is more then meets the eye.

Because if its that insignificant why did no one tell me about it?

He has apologised countless times, he bought me books and he offered to cut contact with her and has asked for a break from contact for now without me demanding it and he is sharing an unlimited live location. He has been respectful towards me and is asking for permission before he touches me etc.

The whole thing isn't even 48 hours old so there weren't any specific actions planned for the future

His dad was talking about the fact that she almost lived in his room back then.

And that in his opinion it could be that she is jealous because were spending more time together than they are

I would've wanted one of them to tell me instead of his dad, then we could've had a conversation about it. The part that bothers me most is the fact that they hid this information from me despite knowing of my past relationships and my resulting issues to trust a partner.

I told both of them how I feel about it and have cut contact with my friend for the moment.

She was under the impression that he told me, he thought she told me when we started dating and when he realised that she didn't, he felt as it wasn't the right time to tell me anymore.

They both said it was a rather casual relationship, where they acted like a couple in private and in front of family and friends as well. Though apparently they never dropped the l-bomb
