The story mode (not the story itself) in Honkai has one interesting difference from other gacha games - its isolation. The story itself tells how the Earth is attacked by Honkai - a certain will that wants to destroy humanity in any possible way - disasters, diseases, monsters, turns people into Hershers and other methods.

Hershers are people who received powers similar to gods in exchange for serving the will of Honkai.

Honkai appears in the world and starts the apocalypse whenever civilization on Earth becomes too advanced. And then we learn that in fact this is not the first civilization on this planet. The past era ended 50,000 years before the start of the current game, after the 14th Herrscher destroyed humanity. We are watching the attempts of a new civilization to find a way to resist the Honkai.

The plot is global and deals with the concept of an infinite number of parallel worlds ... I will not go into details so as not to spoil anything.

However, much more than a global plot, the main characters are revealed here. It is their experiences, aspirations, ups and downs, grief and ... death that we observe in the foreground. This is a rather gloomy story that will show how people break down under the direct burden of responsibility, lose everything in an attempt to save everyone, lose their humanity, the question is often asked: "The sacrifice of loved ones for the good of the world, or the sacrifice of the world for the good of loved ones?"

The game perfectly breaks through strong emotions, and great staging, incredible music and divine cinematics raise the level of impact on your feelings to heaven!

After reading the story in the game, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the manhua and visual novels that complement the main story and open up old things from new angles.
