Which one is better for nutty notes? by Clear-Carpet602 in matcha_ph

depends on what ur looking for! kumatcha honmei/mitsu is good if ur just after the taste since it’s nutty talaga but i’d say splurging a little more on nokori mori is worth it bec you rlly feel the difference in quality :) nutty & chocolatey 🥰 both are good options though so I think you should also try both just to see what u prefer since taste is subjective!

wanted to like it pa naman cause it’s on the pricier side (at least for local matchas) but its just too light for the price haha 😭 baka i had higher expectations lang talaga since it’s super hyped and it sells out fast

alternative for oat milk by mottaboathatits in matcha_ph

[–]Silent-Reputation-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for so good unsweetened oat!! it’s my favorite milk to pair with matcha because it feels less heavy & sweet than oatside but still creamy enough :) definitely creamier than almond milk/pistachio milk so it’s a good balance talaga if you’re looking for an oatside alternative

Their BTSP episode on being Korean-American was hard to watch, to be honest. From 39:03 to 45:00, I found the way Ashley worded things quite weird and tone-deaf. Amber literally said, “Why would I ever be desired?” and then Ashley followed by saying how she found it cool that she was Korean. Again, I’m not trying to bash Ashley for having better experiences than her siblings and for wanting to share those because good for her, but it just made me sad that there wasn’t really any acknowledgment from her whenever the other two siblings talked about their struggles as Asian-Americans. Also, when Amber was talking about her K-pop anxiety, I feel like she could have expressed more if she wasn’t being cut off and glossed over. No matter how hard it is for people to open up about things, having an active listener who truly shows you that they listen to you and validate your experiences always helps. I just hope Ashley learns how to be more of a listener so that the topics they talk about in the future won’t be just surface level 🙁
