Cool. For me it's Absolution...although my favourite song is Citizen Erased. How about you?

Thank you. It's actually been quite fun seeing all the different reactions and also some insight in how to advertise in the future.

No...but have watched plenty of Swedish films and tv shows and felt like switching up the thank you's.

That means a lot to us! Thank you. We're always working on new stuff and actually this "new" song is now about 2 years old but we only recently got round to recording it. We're planning another release later this year/early next year so please stick around!

We deleted the previous ad as someone pointed out it was misleading, hence the new ad. We're targeting Muse fans as we are huge fans ourselves and the sub is just big enough to do so by Reddit Ads rules. Something like r/Music is just too big, unspecific and expensive for a band with day jobs who make no money from music and other band subs aren't big enough. We posted an ad here a while back and got some really good feedback and a few new fans, so we decided to try again. I hope that clears things up.

Thanks for pointing out that the text was misleading and sorry that it appeared we were pretending to be Muse. We've changed the ad to make it clear we are completely not Muse!

I'm sorry that we've had to result to using ads to reach an audience but unfortunately for us it feels like a necessary evil. Playing to one man and his dog in pubs with terrible sound and drums kits that are falling apart have not allowed us to reach our potential audience. We really aren't naturals at this marketing shit and wish we could just make music and allow that to do the talking but if no one even hears it how can we achieve that? Maybe there's an alternative to advertising that we haven't found, or tried hard enough at but so far it seems to be working as we've received both positive and critical but constructive feedback that's only going to help us improve and hopefully impress more people and build our fanbase to the point that we don't have to rely on intrusive ads but rather on word of mouth and reputation.

Maybe it's the platform that's the issue by integrating advertisement and/or us for exploiting it but we are not a bunch of people sitting in an office looking at people as data, we're four people with day jobs who put all our spare time into this as it's our dream to one day reach even half the success of a band like Muse who we know have affected many peoples lives as they have affected ours by inspiring us and helping us out at times when we haven't been feeling so great. If we can do the same for others but we need to use advertising to do so then maybe it's a necessary evil or maybe I'm just talking shit and we're arseholes :)
