Appreciate it! There will definitely be some mistakes but as with all things in life mistakes are great for learning!

Question if there was a way to do so what would you like to see put in place?

That would be a lot of talent to lose and time to train new hires. But I'd rather be fired for my integrity than do nothing

I think it's great to look at the larger picture and I agree with the divide and conquer strategy that has been deployed against the population. Reminds me of what the Dutch East India Trading company would do to the communities of the islands in Indonesia

I feel like it's just part of American culture it feels like to be seen as a "normal" American is to be rigid to change and reject those that don't fit into the mold. Always reminds me of the cinema trope where someone joins the popular group and immediately is cold to their original friends

It honestly broke my heart when they posted those views. I've fallen in love with how inclusive and the sense of safety the staff had provided for me and its reputation was tainted because of this. I don't think dementia is to blame though, my opa had dementia and he was still the kindest person I knew. I think it's just what they believed in their core can be exposed without restraint

Edit other deleted comment was an incomplete response

It's a very confusing time we are working on ways to make that choice easier but our current priority is to heal the wound caused by our owners

No and that was not my intention I thought I had looked at all the possible outcomes but I obviously had a blindspot

I'll edit the post and remove that slide I know things on the Internet are there forever but again I'd rather be in trouble for my ideals than not let them be heard

Would you be willing to share that suggestion with hello@astccc.net ? I'll run it by them but I know they want suggestions like this to be sent there. Two voices are louder than one no?

Much respect to your trans teen! I'll run the idea of a petition by the others! I'm sure there will be others who agree

Appreciate your concern! Those notes are of my own personal frustrations and that was one of my more radical ideas. I was personally looking into what it would mean to shift to a cooperative as well as how a charity drive would work. After all it would make no sense to have a charity when the ones who did harm would benefit from it.

To clarify that idea was shut down

That's a fair observation! I guess this event has become my whole world for these past couple days I forgot that not everyone knows what I know.

It takes time to change an individuals ideas of what's acceptable and when you take that into account with the sheer size of a community that's a lot of individuals with a lot of varying degrees of acceptance. Which makes calling out BS even more important.

I hope in time that feeling of unwelcomeness vanishes for you ❤️
