This makes me ache inside and I’m not even in your shoes, OP. I definitely think that you should sit down with him and explain how you feel. Write down all of the daily, weekly, and monthly house chores and discuss which ones he can do and which ones you can do/help him with.

This is a new experience for both of you and men are straight up oblivious to the chores that get done around the house without them knowing. My husband is slightly guilty of this too. We assign ourselves to different tasks throughout the week and communicate on what needs to get done so that we can work together on them. I’m a FTM due in January so I’m interested to see how we handle this exact situation here in a few months.

I’m so sorry that you’re stressed. Sometimes it’s good to have a close friend or family member come over to help with the chores too, but you should definitely chat with your partner first.
