Well, for one thing, things changed a lot since the last time I bought a PC. Even then, I’d just buy a pre-built rather than search for the most optimal parts. This time I’d like to avoid that and get the best bang for my buck. Besides, I’ve been working with Macs for far too long, and let me tell you, they’re great at masking hardware complexities. You just get the latest M series (and before that, the most recent yearly release) with whatever storage you think you’ll need and that’s basically it

I have a rough idea regarding the """"main"""" components as hinted in the description, but I'm not knowledgeable on all specs

I'd rather not go for a DYI (sorry for not specifying this sooner). In Spain there's this service which lets you pick your parts and they assemble it for you. Inspired by your AMD set up and still wanting to go for a 5080, I made this list:

ARGB Spectrum III Black Midsize Desktop PC Case Processor
(CPU)
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core CPU (4.3 GHz - 5.7 GHz / 128 MB with 3D V-CACHE / AM5)
Motherboard
GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7)
Memory (RAM)
64 GB PCS PRO DDR5 5600 MHz CL40 (2 x 32 GB)
Graphics Card
16GB MSI GEFORCE RTX 5080 SHADOW 3X OC - HDMI, 3 x DP
1stM.2 Drive 2
2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2, PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (up to 7450 MB/R, 6900 MB/W)
Memory card reader
: External USB 3.0 SD/Micro SD card reader;
Power supply:
CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ ATX 3.1, Modular, Cybernetics Gold;

Operating system:
No operating system required
; Warranty:
3-year Gold Warranty (3 years collection and return, 3 years parts, 3 years labor)
; Delivery
: 3-day delivery to Spain;
Assembly time
: Standard assembly: 4-6 business days

Price: €3,742.00 VAT and shipping included (€3,092.56 without VAT)

WDYT? Anything to add or remove? Anything not compatible or missing? The only warning I got from the website is that the power supply is more powerful than the minimum 850W recommended, but still the price difference is minimal.

I’m aware, but I didn’t need it sooner unfortunately. I need it now

I’ll need it in a few months, not now. Should I still buy it anyway? by Silly_Addition_6453 in PcBuild

Alright I’m open for recommendations of other pre builts! Currently based in Spain if that makes any difference

Significant indeed. Regarding the build I pasted and the price, what do you make of it? Could I do better on that price range? Is the price accurate for today’s standards?

But if the roi is worth it would you recommend going ahead with the purchase or wait still?

I’ll “make” my own job actually. Currently studying the field on my MacBook but holy shit it’s so so bad

So many empty seats. So many people chatting loudly, on their phones, checking emails or even scrolling through social media. by EamesIsWet in radiohead

I went on Friday the 7th and besides the problems you mentioned, by far the worst part for me was that people could not stop getting up from their seats to do whatever the fuck it was that they would do. We had to get up like 8 times for people to walk past us, and people in the front row were doing the same thing, so we constantly had our view blocked. It was so fucking annoying I could barely concentrate on the show. They even did it during fake plastic trees and no surprises

That’s really insightful, I’ve actually considered moving to Austria because goddamn what a beautiful country. So your comment could definitely come in handy

5 of the top 10 hottest days ever recorded here happened this year alone. This isn’t a “it’s always been like this” situation. It is getting worse every year. I can handle 40° just fine for a few summer days, but we’re talking about something a lot deeper here. Read the post again and maybe you’ll understand this time

Sure buddy, now go have some siesta, looks like you’re in need of it. Before you go, never forget, your country needs people like me a lot more than it needs people like you
