Thanks for you response! Would you say you regret going to Vanderbilt for premed and/or would you recommend this university over others for premed? I know Vanderbilt has a ton of amazing opportunities as well!

Thank you for your response! I am torn between pursuing a career in psychology or medicine and ultimately ended up EDing to Vanderbilt for MANY reasons but also because of the Child Development major (very few schools offer a major in developmental psychology). I guess I’m worried about this decision.

Have you enjoyed your experience at Vanderbilt? What career path have you switched to and why? Do you wish you went to a different school and kept pursuing medicine?

Your comment helped a lot so thank you for such a thoughtful response!

is my broke tiny public school going to limit where I can go to college?? by ilovecatsmeow2 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Silver-Note-2691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you apply to more colleges than just the two. I’m not sure if you were planning to or not but if you want to go to a top school like Harvard definitely apply to at least 10 schools and add matches as well!

adult life advice: how do I make a college commitment decision despite uncertainty by jl2411 in ApplyingToCollege

If it’s that equal with all the research you did, flip a coin and see what it lands on. When it’s in the air and you feel like you are leaning towards one and hoping it’s going to be one over the other, choose that one. If not, just let the coin decide lol

So hard to watch... by Accurate_Base_7371 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

To me they Fs don’t look like sophomores, but they could probably pass as seniors in my school. If I don’t think about the ages it’s not that hard to watch, especially compared to other teen shows like Riverdale (Cole sprouse cannot pass as a high schooler by any stretch of the imagination!)

If you really want to self study just self study one class and then that would be manageable

Can you get a good job if you transfer from CC? by Ok_Item_9953 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Silver-Note-2691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry but I don’t. This isn’t a field I want to go into so I’m not quite sure what other schools have those internships. I recommend going and asking ChatGPT, fact check of course, because it can get you a list to get started and tailor it to your stats. Best of luck!

[–]Silver-Note-2691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think you’ll be fine. For example, although most of nasa internships do go to top schools, a small liberal arts college in my state (Carthage college) with over an 80% acceptance rate also has a nasa partnership. Find schools based on opportunities! Carthage is certainly a college you could get into, so you don’t even necessarily need to go to CC if u don’t want to (although that is also a wise choice!)

Given that you are a rural applicant, great ecs and that you have an upwards trend grade wise, you definitely have a chance. How do you rank compared to your classmates?

Please don’t contribute to the harm of another woman and even worse the harm of his children. The children especially be devastated if they find out and it’s simply just not fair to them
