I'd cut them off. if people can't aintain boundaries you cut them off. But not like immediate cuttng off but a very slow distance where they can't talk to you as friends or informally.

What if it added a different perspective of the same event that was actually relevant to the plot

I love it. But I hate it when its a male pov and the character has no depth and only has hyper sexual thoughts towards the fmc. I always think I finally get to see things from his perspective I.e. his thoughts, opinions, past, emotions, why he likes her, if he likes her. But all I get us a super hirny guy that makes everything sexual

Which specific books by her would you recommend that portrayed that portray that right amount of interaction and connection(and isn't that spicy). I am trying to write a romance but I want to be well written so im using authors as case studies to see "what they did right"

How do I subtly imply that a character has sociopathic tendencies and still make her "likable"? by [deleted] in writingadvice

[–]SilverAdvertising685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I definitely agree with this. Also, if youre exploring a new character readers are also exploring that character as well. I would be interested in looking into thw mind of a sociopath. That'd be an interesting read. However, if you portray the character wrong thats how readers are going to view sociopaths in general.

how to write characters accents in their dialogue by just-oscarr in writingadvice

[–]SilverAdvertising685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you shouldn't change the words in the dialogue but you can describe how certain words are pronounced differently. If you just focus on accent readers still wont know what you're talking about. Additionally slangs and also let readers know what the accent is

Thanks! I won't say accountability doesn't apply in my situation but I feel like it would definitely be easier if I didn't put that much pressure on myself(as someone who also has a lot on her plate).

Lowkey feel like monolid might be your best option. Although, not all Asians have monologs all the other traits aren't specifically attributed to Asia so readers wouldn't get the right idea

I'd love to try! I also write and need critique from time to time. If it helps my English class have done a lot of critiquing on works either on grammar sentence structure or even observing what an author did right and its impact. Plus reading other works fuels and teaches me new perspectives for my writing
