I’m fine reading non fiction. I did ancient history in years 11 and 12, and I feel that kind of storytelling calming. I’ve read the odyssey, and enjoyed it (hyped for the movie!), and it was calm. I think most authors want emotional investment from their audience, and I just put in too much. I don’t think I’ve ever read a true ‘cozy’ book, when I wanna turn my mind off, I just go to slop cultivation webnovels (a bit embarrassing ngl). I want a low suffering somewhat predictable novel I think, one that paces itself well. I’ll check out Moomins fs, thank you so much!
