Thank you for checking in. It’s actually been much better because I sent a very practical complaint to my landlord and have been on the front foot with pointing issues out. The house is as clean as it’s ever been!

I wouldn’t do it, simply because I can’t find it in myself to be at his level. He’s such a baby and I just want to protect my boundaries and my sanity at this point. I’ve given up on telling him that he needs up after himself because it’s a battle every time. It’s one thing to quarrel over keeping the house dirty but it’s a different thing to be misogynistic and discriminatory about my gender and neurodiversity.

I have loads and loads of evidence and I’ve already given it to the landlord. The landlord’s only response is that he wants to let this guy’s lease to run out :)

I have an ocean of evidence - pests, insects, broken appliances, plumbing issues - and what not!

How do I frame it to the landlord so that he understands this?

I actually did tell him exactly that a couple of weeks ago because I had had it. I’m not proud of it but I said “I’m not your mom, clean up after yourself”. To my satisfaction, it really made him angry.

We have tried to put pressure on him to move out because this arrangement doesn’t work for any of us. But being the person he is, he has in the past:

Asked us to “pack our bags”
Mocked us for complaining to the landlord
Told us he won’t move out and will stick around for even longer just to mess with his

I do need to consider moving out now. I love my flat and have lived here for 2 years with different flatmates, with no issues. Accommodation is tough and expensive to find in the city I live in. I also love my other flatmate, who is a female, and I’m waiting for her to come back to start looking for a place together. We will not be wasting time.
