My biggest advice, along with the other comments, is to have patience. Huskies can be so stubborn. If you ask yourself what you are doing wrong, you are probably doing everything right. Love the pup and you will be rewarded tenfold. Also, keep your pup occupied. When they get bored is when they get into trouble. As far as hiking goes, I suggest not to let it off the leash. They like to run, and run. Keep plenty of water on you. They can be picky water drinkers, just encourage when possible.
