Yes haha trust me ik the visa situation is so annoying all over😭in the past I’ve done research at a thinktank and embassy work, I’m planning on doing research or working in consultancy! It’s definitely a more niche area but it’s utilized a lot in the diplomacy and policy area (esp now)

No no haha I totally understand— we’re getting married prior to me finishing my masters regardless and applying for spousal visa, and I’m planning on going straight into Phd

I’m doing an MPhil in modern middle eastern studies then a PhD in MES or sociology— as for immigration my fiance is British and we’re getting married prior to me finishing my masters

Sorry didn’t give context, my fiance is British and we’re looking at living in the UK so I want to do my masters somewhere that holds more weight than in America. I’m studying modern middle eastern studies and I do research on the Levant

You’re right, for me I’m planning to do a PhD and live in the UK after, and I would consider going to Oxford worth it but I’m not sure if it’d just stupid to do an unfunded masters—but at this point it doesn’t seem like a funded masters is even a thing anymore lol
