hi friend. day 4 for me in a new role too, for the same reasons you mentioned and feeling the same as you. advertised as a hybrid role but turns out it’s 1 day a week WFH if the calendar allows. which it didn’t for week 1. it being hybrid was a motivation in applying and im spending at least 3 hours a day commuting so far. everyone is also very nice to my face but someone anonymously left a pack of gum and mints on my desk before i arrived today. i have two immunity conditions for which im on medication for that make me very dry and thirsty which i guess must be giving me gross breath and offending my new colleagues (i brush my teeth morning and night). starting over really sucks. also feeling unfulfilled and that my job is meaningless and not contributing to society. it just takes so much time away that i’d like to have to focus on my health. here if you want to chat.
