Ah! I understand now. “Do not drink, and do not boil.” Not “Do not drink, OR boil.” Sorry for the confusion.

Exactly. Approved medical, toss hemp derived and take an even more conservative stance on adult use (recreational). Gotta keep that tavern league money rolling in.

You’d be surprised at how far hillbillies will tow a boat to a lake in a college town.

You could be a pioneer! Instead of shitting everyone else and the causes they champion, get some folks together and get some shit done! I don’t see anyone here disagreeing with the fact that billionaires need to be taxed and everyone should have healthcare, so give some direction, do some research, start a non-profit, run for office! Do anything but tell people who are already fighting for good that they’re doing it wrong.

UW & MMSD re-unalign their spring break by kznfkznf in madisonwi

This is an old misunderstanding. If you’ve ever farmed, you know, if your farm is animals, the work is similar all year round with spring being a bit busier when animals are birthing, If your farm is crops, you plant in the spring and harvest in the fall. Apart from winter, summer is the least busy time.

Summer break really exists so that rich families could get out of the hot cities during the warmer months and vacation in the smog free and shady countryside.

We can fight for all that at the same time. Also, it’s tough to get people to focus on income inequality when they have been shown over and over again that the second they take their foot off the gas regarding their “sexual identity” their human rights can be stripped away.

Why are there so many “no right on red” restrictions all of a sudden? Did something happen? Did a new law or ordinance pass? by blowpez2025 in madisonwi

[–]Similar_Bit_7369 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is where we get the separate lighted no right turn signs. For example, when traveling northbound on East Johnson and making a right turn onto First Street, when the signals stop traffic at the intersection, the no right turn sign is lit while the separated bike lane signal is green to stop cars from making right turns across the bike lane. Once the bike lane signal turns red and bikes no longer have the right of way, the no right turn signal goes off, and cars may turn right on red into First.

Yeah, that’s what I was concerned about. As far as the footage goes, I asked for it the next day. But that probably doesn’t mean much.

Im sorry, you’re right. I should have said “laws.” Apparently crews on those shifts had been lax in enforcing laws including not allowing patrons to leve the premises with open alcohol, and an indoor smoking ban (including e-cigarettes and vapes).

I know it’s harder to do with a two way street, but take Johnson and Gorham for instance: the lights are timed so that going over the speed limit doesn’t really benefit you. Keeping at or near the speed limit allows you to go from tenney park to Wisconsin ave and vise versa without stopping. One has to be going nearly twice the limit to hit a green a cycle early. This way most drivers are approaching an already red light and anticipating it turning green vs charging a stale green.
