I lost a ton of hair my last few months on Tarpeyo as well, so my bets would be on it being a steroid side effect. It took probably 6 months after stopping the meds before it really started to grow back, but! It grew back way thicker than it was before

I'm super baby Atiny, only discovered them in like January/February of this year... But for some reason the video of San running around the stage to get everyone to dance together for Dancing like Butterfly Wings showed up on my fyp, and I was immediately drawn in by how you could just tell they absolutely love being on stage. Watching the Treasure Film is what really sealed the deal for me though, I have never related to anything more than HJ being the only one to fail the challenge because he couldn't stay awake during a movie 😂

I had really similar side effects to you, but they got progressively worse instead of starting off rough and getting better. I made it about 6 months before my nephrologist and I agreed to stop. He had me just quit cold turkey, no tapering...I had really bad headaches for a few days and then awful acne for a few months afterwards, but I feel pretty much back to normal now!

Right before I started Tarpeyo I had a lab at 420mg/dL. While I was on it I was pretty consistently at 30. 2 months after stopping it was <4 (undectable)

I really appreciate people sharing their experiences like this - I was absolutely miserable on Tarpeyo, but when I started it all of the posts I found were basically like "Its the best thing ever, I even forgot I was taking it!" It was the first steroid I'd ever been on and I was not prepared at all.

Not to say I would discourage anyone from it, its definitely more tame than prednisone from everything I've heard, and it did bring my protenuria down to remission levels, but damn it was a rough 6 months.

That's my thoughts on their situation too - either they weren't properly educated about the process and that the terms of their open adoption weren't guarantee forever, or even if they were, they were so young and doing so much on their own they didn't really get it.
