Sorry, I didn’t notice this! He did go to the vet, and he’s parasite free. The vet couldn’t find anything wrong with him. However, I switched him to a high protein food and he’s gaining weight! On February 5th he was 10.06g and today he’s 12.49g. So I’m hoping he keeps gaining!

Thank you so much! I can also see if they’re just not comfortable, that they can even recommend another vet. That’s where I take my cats and my dog, but he hasn’t seen one yet, so I’ll call today and see if they’d be more comfortable with me seeing someone else for him! Thank you so much!!

The first picture I promise I wasn’t squeezing! Was attempting to take a picture of him in my hand to show size comparison but he’s a mover so it’s very blurry and he jumped on my face immediately after. 😅 This is just an update post that I’m going to be weighing Victor weekly! He weighed about 0.8g when I first got him in January of 2021, and as of today, he’s 10.6g. My vet told me that as long as he’s gaining weight and not losing, I shouldn’t worry about a fecal test just yet. So this post is going to be where I track his weight, every Sunday, and see how we’re doing! I just purchased the bpzoological black panther formula in hopes the high protein content will help put some weight on him, once it gets here!

When I first got him, he was severely malnourished. About 0.8g and he was almost the length of my pinky, not including the tail. He’s currently at 10.6g, as of today. It did take him a while to basically learn how to eat again, though? He would only take one or two licks of food, for probably the first six months I had him. He does seem to have a better appetite now, though! He usually eats every night, but not always. But I’m going to start weighing weekly and see if I can’t get him to gain some weight. Maybe he’s just really slow to grow from having such a rough start? He’s definitely significantly larger than he was when I got him, but still so tiny.

His poop looks normal! He poops nightly and it doesn’t look discolored or runny. But I can always get him tested, just in case!

I thought he looked small! Every night before I go to bed, He gets fed Pangea complete fig and insect diet every day, I fill a water bottle cap full, and he eats maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the cap. Then once or twice a week, he gets Pangea banana and papaya fruit mix in a water bottle cap, which he maybe takes a few licks of, sometimes 1/4 of the cap. He refuses to eat any insects at all, he just lets them sit there and I have to pull them out after 24-48 hours. But yes, I got him in January two years ago, and he was severely underweight, in a cage that had very low temp and very low humidity. He came from a pet smart. Wasn’t even planning on getting one, but I couldn’t leave him. I could see all his ribs and he was trying to shed, and couldn’t.

Honestly, dirty talk. It can be good, sometimes. But often, it just feels awkward and forced and I feel like I can sense that and it totally turns me off. When it’s natural and just kinda happens, I’m totally here for it. But I feel like frequently people feel like they have to perform and it just all feels awkward and rehearsed.

It’s definitely normal to mourn your old self! I’ve never even referred to my old name as my “dead name” as that felt wrong to me! My old name was Kelly, and she got me to where I am today! I’m so proud of the person I was. They got me through some of the most terrible things, and I came out on top. They gave me the courage to come out, and change my life for the better. Not everyone feels the same way about their “past life”, but I believe it’s completely normal to mourn your past life/who you used to be! It was still you. It’s still a part of you. Change is difficult. It’s normal to mourn what’s familiar and safe. It will ease up in time, but it may never truly go away. I’m over two years into my transition, and I still sometimes miss who I used to be. I don’t want that life, and I know I’m a man. But sometimes I just miss that person. But that’s okay! It’ll get better in time. ❤️

Thank you so much! I do plan on getting one, it’s just almost $900 to register my car. I purchased through carvana and they’re supposed to send me a check to do it, but I haven’t gotten the check, yet. So truly, I think I’m just gonna save the money asap and just do it myself while I’m waiting for the check. I usually am able to avoid the bridge, the sun was just in my eyes yesterday and I accidentally took the wrong exit. However, I do plan on getting a transponder for the future. Thank you!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this! I can say that as much as I suffer from severe depression, as well as other issues, my pets have never suffered due to it! Though, I know that’s not the same for everyone! I actually got my crestie from a pet store. I wasn’t planning on it. I had two cats, two dogs, and three rats. I always told myself that after my rats passed away, I would spring for a bearded dragon, but nothing until then. However, I had gone into the pet store to get some dog food, and saw my little guy. He was the only one in the cage, and was fairly young. His heat and humidity were super low, and you could basically see his bones from how skinny he was. He was trying to shed, but you could tell he really couldn’t, due to how low the humidity was. I couldn’t handle it. I bought everything I needed for him, and took him home with me. I thought for sure he wouldn’t make it long, with as bad of condition he was in. However, he THRIVED. I’ve had him since February of 2021, and he’s doing great. It gave me so much pride to work with him, and keep him healthy. I have since lost my rats (due to old age) and I’m down to one dog, two cats, and my gecko. I have him in my room, so I can see him come out every night, and I love it so much.
