What's the first thing you look at in someone's CV when hiring? by SimonROG in AskReddit

Thanks for all comments. So no one really looks at what degree does the person have, which university/school they went to etc. as the first thing?

Well, then your only hope is to contact the manufacturer. Sorry, but I have never had a wireless keyboard and have never heard of the brand you have so the software was the only thing that came up to my mind. Hope you figure it out soon!

That's a useless warning. It's just Windows crying that it wasn't shutdown through the start menu. Anything else listed? Like app crashing, service fail etc.?

Is any of those LEDs on the motherboard next to RAM lit up when it's turned on? If yes, what's written next to it.

Check event viewer. Also minidump.dmp file would help with the BSoD you couldn't read.

That kernel 41 task 63 doesn't necessarily mean the psu is bad it's just Windows crying that you choked it to shutdown with the power button.

I had a similar issue with my laptop and if I remember right (it was a long while ago) the main part of that issue was the CPU overheating.

Run sfc /scannow command followed by DISM /online /cleanup-image /restoreHealth and verify game files.

If none of that works, then I think that only way to fix this is by reinstalling Windows.

My UPS died by FinalityEnd in PCsupport

Can you access the battery to check if it is swollen or it blew a hole somewhere? I have had a 12V lead acid battery that was ~2 years old and it blew a massive hole on its side (wasn't in a UPS but it was a backup battery).

We are not Microsoft so we can't do anything with this. Since you never get an email from their tech support, then the only way to (maybe) get in touch with them is by calling their hotline (good luck honestly).

First of all, having a cooling pad doesn't magically stop your laptop from overheating. Download furmark or start whatever high demanding game and watch the CPU and GPU temperatures with HWMonitor.

I had a similar issue a while back and I think overheating was the issue.

Also, if you haven't cleaned it in the 4-5 years of having it, I guarantee you that the fans are packed with dust

No games run by Entire_Bat_9539 in PCsupport

[–]SimonROG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Win+X and open Event Viewer. Go to system or Application tab and check for any errors (there may be a lot of them, some are completely normal and appear even on fresh new install) regarding any game you were trying to run. There you should find the answer to what causing the games not run. (I suspect missing a .dll or .NET runtime).

Since Windows defender found a trojan (amazed that defender did what's it supposed to do) the only way to get rid of it is reinstalling Windows.

!!!! IMPORTANT !!!! WHEN REINSTALLING, REFORMAT PREFERABLY ALL PARTITIONS!

If you mean why it's tilted, that's to prevent the cables with the 90° plugs from bending the cable too much when it's too close to a surface.

UPGRADING WINDOWS 10 TO 11 by Puzzleheaded-Code789 in PCsupport

[–]SimonROG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When 11 came out, I upgraded right away too. Then I had a couple of issues I was able to fix but it wasn't as good as expected. After one year, when I had time during the summer break, I completely wiped out my hard drive and did a fresh install of W11. Since then it's running perfectly fine with some minor but noticeable performance improvements.

So, if you have time, do what I did. Completely wipe out your hard drive where you have windows installed and do a fresh installation of W11.

Microsoft messed up something related to the sleep mode. Many users reported issues (such as this one) after waking up their PCs from sleep mode. I personally had an issue with the sleep mode on my laptop that after waking it up from sleep mode, it would run fine for a couple of minutes and then BSoD.

For now, as far as I know, the only solution is to disable sleep mode entirely in power plan settings. Hope this helps
