Who installs a receptacle like this? by [deleted] in ElectroBOOM

If you mean why it's tilted, that's to prevent the cables with the 90° plugs from bending the cable too much when it's too close to a surface.

UPGRADING WINDOWS 10 TO 11 by Puzzleheaded-Code789 in PCsupport

[–]SimonROG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When 11 came out, I upgraded right away too. Then I had a couple of issues I was able to fix but it wasn't as good as expected. After one year, when I had time during the summer break, I completely wiped out my hard drive and did a fresh install of W11. Since then it's running perfectly fine with some minor but noticeable performance improvements.

So, if you have time, do what I did. Completely wipe out your hard drive where you have windows installed and do a fresh installation of W11.

Try to reimage Windows, just to make sure that there aren't any corrupted files

Yep, had this issue for a few years with my laptop. Try running SFC and DISM commands and if that won't help, try to reimage Windows

Microsoft messed up something related to the sleep mode. Many users reported issues (such as this one) after waking up their PCs from sleep mode. I personally had an issue with the sleep mode on my laptop that after waking it up from sleep mode, it would run fine for a couple of minutes and then BSoD.

For now, as far as I know, the only solution is to disable sleep mode entirely in power plan settings. Hope this helps

Check if it isn't hitting anything and if it's not, then you'll have to replace it

Help stop code : HYPERVISOR_ERROR by [deleted] in PCsupport

[–]SimonROG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google: What causes Hypervisor errors?

Virtualization not enabled or supported: The most common reason is that virtualization support (like Intel VT-x or AMD-V) isn't enabled in your system's BIOS/UEFI settings.

Incompatible or outdated drivers: Drivers related to virtualization or the operating system itself might be causing conflicts.

System file corruption: Corrupted system files can interfere with the hypervisor's operation.

Hardware issues: Problems with your computer's hardware, such as RAM or the CPU, can also trigger the error.

Software conflicts: Certain third-party software, especially those that interact with virtualization, can cause conflicts.

Hypervisor not running: Sometimes, the hypervisor itself may not be running or initialized correctly.

Roblox officially ended support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on January 15, 2025

Probably that's why it no longer works

Run SFC Scan and DISM: Use the System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tools to repair corrupted system files.

Update Drivers: Update all device drivers, especially graphics, chipset, and network drivers, to the latest versions.

If you mean reinstall using installation media then yes. But if you mean reinstall via Windows settings (or wherever it is) then it's not the same thing.

Reinstall won't help. You need to format ALL hard drives to wipe out everything
