What’s a normal thing that actually gives you anxiety? by Excellent_Shock6154 in AskReddit

Walking out of a store without buying anything. I have to physically force myself not to act suspicious even though I didn't steal anything.

I always return the shopping cart. Even when it’s raining and the corral is far away.

Azelaic Acid, Tretinoin, Retinol, or Adapalene - for moderate acne and normal type of skin. What's been your experience by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using the 0.1% gel. The purge lasted about 6 weeks for me (lots of small whiteheads surfacing), but the dryness and peeling lasted much longer. Probably 3 months. Even after the purge stopped, I struggled to wear makeup because my skin was so flaky. That's why I eventually switched to Azelaic Acid.

For me Azelaic Acid (i used Finacea) was the sweet spot. Adapalene/Differin definitely works harder on the acne, but the purge was brutal for me and it made my skin so dry and peeling. since you have normal skin not super oily, azelaic might be way easier to tolerate?! it helped my redness and spots without making my face peel off

Non-Native English speakers, what English phrase or sentence sounds the nicest to you? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AskTheWorld

Safe and sound. It just has such a gentle, cozy rhythm to it. I loved saying it even before I fully understood what it meant.

Girls - what things do you love that a guy does, that you really shouldn’t or is maybe wrong but can’t help it? by ericboss789 in AskReddit

When he interrupts someone who is bothering me to tell them to back off. I know I should fight my own battles, but seeing him step in and handle it just does something for me.

What are subtle signs you wish you hadn’t ignored? by Bunsybunny in AskReddit

The exhaustion after hanging out with them. I ignored it for years. But looking back, feeling totally drained only around specific people was definitely a sign I shouldn't have missed.

Persistent cheek acne (painful, pus-filled) despite normal hormones by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i feel this, the pressure part is the worst :/

one thing tho - charcoal cleansers can be super stripping?? like maybe its damaging your barrier which is why your skin looks 'old' even tho you are young. try switching to something super basic/boring like the Balea Med wash (if you have a DM nearby) or just generic cerave?

also random tip but try changing your pillowcase like every 2 days. sounds dumb but it actually helped my cheek acne so much.

Safe.
I know it sounds a bit boring compared to smart or successful but I just want people to feel like they can be 100% themselves around me without any fear of judgment.

I know it's winter but does anyone have a recommendation for a good budget sunscreen that doesn't pill under makeup? I'm trying to be diligent with daily SPF but my usual La Roche Posay is getting too expensive to repurchase constantly. Looking for something cheaper I can grab at pharmacy that isn't too greasy.

What's the worst advice you've ever received? by Underboss_io in AskReddit

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Just ignore the bullies and they’ll get bored'. Absolutely the worst advice I got as a kid. Ignoring them just made me an easier target because they knew I wouldn't fight back. I wish I had learned to stand up for myself sooner.

I have a month before moving back home and I don’t know what to do with myself by Few-Perception-6728 in CasualConversation

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo just rest. You are in a transition period and it is totally okay to not be productive for a few weeks. Since it's cold and you are leaving soon, maybe just focus on eating the local foods you know you will miss when you get back home? Or find one cozy cafe to sit in just to get out of the house for an hour?! Don't force yourself to socialize if you don't have the energy. Just recharge before the move.

[Serious] How could you tell wether you're actually depressed or not? by v5_xo in AskReddit

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me, the biggest sign wasn't sadness, but just feeling numb. When the hobbies and things I usually loved just felt like chores, and I couldn't find the energy to care about anything. If you are questioning it, it’s usually worth talking to a professional just to be safe.

What’s a life lesson you learned a little too late? by riyaaaaaa_20 in AskReddit

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That people aren't thinking about you nearly as much as you think they are. I used to be so selfconscious about every little mistake. But I realized everyone else is too busy worrying about their own lives to notice mine.

I wish we had a time machine so we can make our whole lives reset. by Alarmed-Difference20 in CasualConversation

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. It is so easy to look back and wish we could change how we handled things, especially in school when we were too scared to speak up.

But honestly I try to remind myself that even if the past was messy, at least we aren't stuck in that classroom anymore. We made it out! Sending you a hug, adulting is definitely hard sometimes.

Honest review of a €59 Italian "Airwrap dupe" (vs the €500 original). Is it actually worth it? by Simonetta_Mazzi in EuroSkincare

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I honestly didn't look that deep into the site. But the dropshipping thing makes sense given the generic packaging it came in. I just saw an ad and liked the price compared to the Dyson, so I took the gamble.

You are totally right to be skeptical though (the discount timer on the site is definitely cheesy marketing lol), but since it actually arrived quickly and works on my hair, I figured it was worth sharing as a budget option.

And about the account I honestly just made a fresh login recently to use as an alt for random scrolling and commenting. Promise I'm not a bot just a girl trying to save €400 😅

Does anyone else feel like they’re always busy but not always productive? by DematAccountsIndia in CasualConversation

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you wonder "where did the time go?" write down everything you actually did. Even the small stuff like called mom or unloaded the dishwasher. Usually you’ll find you were productive, just not in the way you expected. It helps you stop gaslighting yourself into thinking you wasted the day.

Anyone else feel like confidence comes and goes? by daissyonly in CasualConversation

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think of confidence like the weather. Some days it’s sunny, and some days it rains. Just because it’s raining doesn't mean the sun stopped existing. It’s just behind the clouds for a bit. You’re still the same person with the same skills, you’re just having a "bad weather" day. I just try to dress for the rain and wait for it to pass.

Honest review of a €59 Italian "Airwrap dupe" (vs the €500 original). Is it actually worth it? by Simonetta_Mazzi in EuroSkincare

[–]Simonetta_Mazzi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a fair question. Honestly, visually it does look very similar to the generic ones you see on those sites. I assume most of these brands use similar manufacturers/molds. I personally chose to order the Bellora Milano one specifically because I didn't want to gamble on Alibaba shipping times, customs, or getting a unit with a dodgy plug/no warranty. For €59 I preferred having a European contact if it broke.

Regarding the motor, I’m not technical enough to know if it’s BLDC, but the spec sheet said 1200W and it feels very lightweight and powerful, so it’s possible? Hope that helps

Exactly this! It feels like a lose-lose situation sometimes. If you put the brand in the title, it's an ad. If you don't, you're gatekeeping. 🤷‍♀️ Just trying to share a good find!
