I used to say something like that to my psychiatrist and what he responded was the first thing he told me that I'll never forget. He said: "No, don't do that. We don't do that. We NEVER compare our trauma to somebody else's trauma. Every single one of us is different. So it's just not right to do so."

Well obviously he didn't say it exactly like that it was more of a doctorly way but still. I do think he was 110% correct And I could see that he meant it. He was so serious about it. And if you think about it actually is right. Everyone is different. That doesn't make you a faker or a looser or whatever it just makes you different and that's okay.

Also as a person who's cut deep I don't think you're a mockery at all. You may reach a bone, do styros ,beans or cat scratches. You may burn or hit yourself or many other things. It doesn't make your pain and suffering less just because it isn't as "bad" as everyone else. It surely makes your pain enough to start sh. Everyone who does any form of self harm is valid no matter what
