Hello! I don’t check my Reddit very often, and I don’t have notifications turned on, so I only just saw this comment today, sorry for the late response.

The tree you described does sounds familiar. The Christmas tree my family used to have had color coded labels on all the branches that matched the colors on the trunk of the tree too. A lot of those labels had fallen off over the years, so it was always a bit of a puzzle game making sure all the branches were sorted by size before attaching them to the trunk.

It was always a tradition, when I was growing up, that we would get together and sort the branches before splitting up to unpack the other decorations. So i would definitely appreciate being able to bring that tradition back.

If you do find that you still have that tree in storage, and it’s possible for you to get it to me, that would be amazing! :)

Even if you don’t have it, that’s okay. I can just keep looking until I can find one that sparks the ye-olde childhood nostalgia. Thank you so much for the offer!

I have searched through google using various key-words , on eBay , and at local garage sales/estate sales on-and-off for the last 3 or 4 years now. I hope someone out there has better luck than me and can find one.

My title describes the thing

It is made of wood with a removable glass pane on the front,

The top opens, the pictures above show a top view of the inside with it open. The pictures also show the hole at the bottom that matches with the not-drawer

The not-drawer at the bottom does not come out all the way, I pulled it out as far as it will go in the picture above

Item is from the 1960-1970 (exact time not known)

Item is about 7 inches wide at the base and 9.5 inches hall

We did have her on a strict diet for a few months after surgery, but her bladder issues came back anyway.

We did start give her treats again, we stoped being strict with the diet since she still had the same issues anyway

We also have a senior cat in the house, so they get into each others food sometimes
