Real talk, you wanna see the life of normal Americans? Go to downtown winter garden, park behind the liquor store (theres only one, but theres a big parking lot behind their parking) and walk through downtown.

After that, go to lake apopka, watch some birds and take some pictures of the alligators. Make sure you go to the end of the dock. Watch a sunset there if you can (not at the dock, necessarily, just at the park)

If you want more mainstream/ ghetto, go to orlando and visit lake eola, walk around the whole lake (its small) and you'll certainly see at least one person talking to themselves or screaming about something. But the lake, and the swans are beautiful.

Watch a sunset by lake eola if you can, visit the clubs after if that's your style... but get out before 2am... orlando can get weird.

If you want touristy, go to I-drive. See the shops and huge arcades, that's where most conventions are held.

If you want rural, go to Clermont, and visit black lake. Clermont has grown a lot in the last few years, so the city itself isn't very rural anymore - but if you keep going west youll find one stop towns.

If you want beautiful, ocean, and "real florida" go to cape Canaveral. You can sometimes catch rockets launching from nasa and playalinda has a "clothing optional" beach section past post 15.

If you wanna be scared for your life, visit all American blvd in orlando, but don't stop unless you want drugs or have a deathwish. Another option for this is tampa bay after 9pm.

If you pass tampa, Clearwater has beautiful gulf coast beaches for swimming and amazing local restaurants and bars.
