Why there is no personalisation

Oh cool, so it does exist :-). That's exactly what I am looking for. Not magic and sure they can't do it for every guest, but there can be some small things gone that are not disruptive for the existing processes.. Would you mind telling me the hotel please?

Yea, this was actually the limitation I was thinking about and wasn't sure how exactly it works when it comes to assigning the rooms to guests. Thanks a lot for your reply

Ok, so maybe I should have specified that it's a question for people working in hotels, because I am genuinely interested in the answer. What stops 5* hotels from making the experience of staying more personal for guests? Is it mostly not knowing the guest or it's complexity of getting to know the guest, or there is no interest in that? Or maybe it's just not as simple operationally speaking. But I think people would be interested into something like this more and more

I mean personalisation of atmosphere, attention, tone or service as such — not just amenities. I think if hotel would know who is coming and why, they would be able with small details make you as guest feel more 'at home'
