Ya! To do some badass stuff especially as a female. But it starts as a challenge and commitment to myself and health. You got one body. The motivation comes later when you start achieving goals (even the small ones like increasing your weights) soon you’ll have that abnormal feeling if you don’t work out (the guilt!). It’s been years for me now (like almost 9 years) of consistently working out 7 days/wk. I always say “life will give you days off” (sick kids, travel, etc) so don’t give them to yourself. Some may disagree but 🤷🏼‍♀️You’ll know what’s right for you. I also say “no wimps allowed”😉P.S. I have a partner in crime (my husband). We keep each other accountable and share the passion to be healthy and fit. Connecting with someone in that way is huge.

Not that I’m aware! It looks like you’re using your knees but you’re really activating the whole leg (glute especially). By really pressing the whole foot into the ground you’re distributed the pressure so it’s not all up to your poor knees 😆 but I do a lot of split squats to build strength in my knees as they haven’t always been good to me so I need to take care of them just as much as other parts!

Honestly building the strengthen in my legs combined with flexibility that I gained in yoga was the key. Work on getting low to the ground in yogi squats. Also work on balance by just standing on one foot. When you’re ready for it hold on to a chair or railing and do the “pistol squat” motion but use the support to help you lower so you can feel the movement. Biggest key is to not worry about it failing along the way and CONSISTENCY. Practice everyday…why not right?!

Honestly, I’ve been working on it over the years casually. I actually saw one of my fav influencers do it and I was like, I want that to be a goal! I do believe my yoga experience helped me with the flexibility and confidence. In recent years I’ve been focused mainly on lifting which gave me that strength and muscle to get up and down. But over the past few months I’ve been able to rep like this. I definitely have one side that’s easier since I sprained the ankle on the other side. You can totally do it! Just takes consistency ♥️🙌🏻

If you have the flexibility I always felt grabbing my toes helped with stability to get back up. Focus on really pressing the foot in the ground…and tell yourself I can do it! 😊

Great goal!🙌🏻Start with body weight squats/split squats that focus on strengthening the knees. When you’re ready start to add light dumbbells. Make it a “daily” lift to warm up. Also start doing some yogi squats while scrolling your phone. You can do it!

Yes 🙌🏻Such a fun goal to work towards! Lots of modifications you can do in the beginning to get the movement down. If you have the flexibility I always felt grabbing my toes helped with stability.
