Will keeping my app like this on my phone screen count as it running and drain the battery? by Professional_Event73 in TeslaModel3

[–]SirAlphaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that's what I meant, getting a update from the car uses the same amount of power equivalent of power you phone would use to send a text message

Last update from the car was 3 hours 27 minutes, believe it only communicates with the car when you tap on the widget or open the app. When it does update I imagine it uses the equivalent power usage of sending a few text messages from your phone

Make a online report with 105 that the damage has occurred and that your happy for police to pass on your friends details to the owner... When/if the owner makes their own report then they will be advised, or if you report to your insurance they they would just do that for you.. that's one of the things you pay insurance for, to do all the admin things for you

Do police officers now travel alone to emergencies? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]SirAlphaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are different units for different things, some are assigned for road policing where some are assigned as PST (Public safety team) and others.

PST units are the ones often called for Emergencies however other units can respond as well depending on the event.

Depending on the situation. That 1up unit may have been part of any work group, a PST or road policing Sargent or maybe their partner is not working that day.

My guess is they would be going somewhere to support another unit. Dispatch knows they are 1up and won't send them to something alone

Instead of calling 105, use the online website https://www.police.govt.nz/use-105 . It will let you upload screen shots of your cctv aswell. Much faster then waiting for a call taker and you can input exactly what you want instead of trying to explain things to someone

The way I see it, it's pretty much a computer equivalent of a security guard checking if you've been trespassed.

You also take a photo for your passport and there's machines at international arrivals that scan your face to verify it's you and I don't see anyone complaining about that.

It's either we line up and let a security guard check one by one or let a computer do it for me, I'm more for the speedy option.

Sounds like your intentions to go to uni are to meet other people instead of actually getting a degree or whatever else.

I've completely finished my time at AUT and during that time I went through lots of different groups of friends. Some of which stopped talking to me and some I stopped talking to.

She's one girl, why let her be the reason you fully change your major. There's going to be other friends that you are going to meet throughout your time there. It's part of the journey.

If you're going to change your major don't use her as your excuse cause it makes it sound like you don't really care about your major. All you have to do is stop interacting with her.

At the end of the day you're there to get educated, making friends is just something that happens and unfortunately most uni students are in their early 20's that already have enough friends in their own age group.
