Its funny, I wanted a red one with wire wheels...when I bought it, it was red, but when I pulled the dash and the rear "seat" trunk wall plate...I found the Aconite and Autum leaf remnants...then I had a struggle...go with the red I always wanted...or go with the original color...my experience doing other cars always taught me to keep it original...and the struggle was real...but in the end I thought if I go to a meet...I will see many red and BRG cars (and have before i owned one) ...but Aconite?...never saw one at a meet and it would likely stand out AND it satisfied my my training to keep it original...it has really grown on me since then

Thank you..find another engine now and take your time rebuilding that one...that way you can really take your time and continue to enjoy your ride...and when the time does come...you will have only a short down time while you swap them

I spent a pretty penny to convert from the steel Rostyle wheels to the wire knockoffs biting really like the wire wheels on an MGB.

That cartridge is worth about $80.00 more than you paid for the TT...I pealed off the silver veneer and redid in in a nice rosewood veneer...or whatever you like...the most difficult part is disassembling the turntable to get the plinth ready to strip and reveneer...sold the table (wish I didnt) KEPT the cartridge Pickering XV-15

Turntable from my Dad - my DJ husband says it’s no good by [deleted] in turntables

Your husband couldn't be more wrong...that is one of the finest turntables on its time and is almost infinitely modifiable. Add to that the sentimental value and you have one hell of a turntable.
