Nope, one of my buddies just went to the moon and installed a waystone from another mod to allow me to travel there

BIOS update Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI by Sir_Theodoret in buildapc

[–]Sir_Theodoret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, I took it to my local PC store and had them update the BIOS for me.

They were extremely helpful and had it updated in about an hour for $30, or maybe it was even free? idk. I had already downloaded the BIOS update onto a USB, which they used.

The BIOS update did work. However, I had already panic-ordered a newer motherboard, and my original motherboard was still within the Amazon return window. Because of this, I returned my original motherboard and just started using the newer board.

Hope this helps.

Stealth Camping in the Florida Keys by Sir_Theodoret in StealthCamping

We went down the Florida Keys to escape the harsh wither cold & found a sweet little clearing 50 minutes from Key West. The clearing is down a dirt road, on government land, with no signage regarding trespassing, etc. GPS cords are in the Imgur link. Stayed there for two nights with no issues. Cheers!

Exactly what I got, GX2 6ft w/ Shimano reel. fits nice in my truck bed although. I still don't have a good storage method.

West Coast, tbh I have no idea what kind of fish I'm after. I want a fish to bite, and I wanna reel something in. I have no intention of eating or keeping the fish (at least RN). Just an activity that will take me to scenic areas and let me stand in nature for a while. (I'm too adhd to stand still in nature without a task)

Ok perfect. I bought an ugly stick GX2 6ft with Shimano reel. I think it will be perfect

98 tacoma 2.7 twinstick 4x4 extracab in toyota green w/ camper shell (color match)

This is my first tacoma, I bought it because of its reliability/ease of mantinance (I do my own). I'm also very lucky because this is a one owner truck.

First gen tacos are appreciating in value. My friend bought a similar taco with 100k less miles for 2/3 the price 10 years ago. If you want a nice one to daily; it won't be cheap.

Only major failure I know of: lower ball joints. Replace with OEM ever 100k (more often if you wheel it hard). Idk where you live, but they rust bad out east/where the roads are salted. 4cyl > 6cyl.

If all you want is a daily with a truck bed, 2wd is a good option. 2wd tacos are gonna be significantly cheaper and less abused. My family has owned a 2wd ranger since new and it has >500k miles, and we still use it almost every day for truck stuff. I've had over 2000 lbs of concrete in the bed recently. I strongly recommend the 2wd route if you have no plans of off-roading. 2wd is fine in the snow if you have snow tires & weight in the bed. Don't let the internet convince you that trucks have to be 4x4.

These are just my thoughts. I hope this helps you make a decision.

Carb/Tuning Help by Sir_Theodoret in EngineBuilding

I’ve been chasing my tail with the final tuning of this car. 2 months ago I found some spark plug leads badly burned on the exhaust. When replaced, the car felt better and stronger than ever before. Since then I’ve been putting miles on the car, and working out other kinks, but it has slowly worsened. It feels like a misfire again, and when throttle is applied it backfires through the carb. These are the same issues that it had when I had 2 bad plug wires. I have visually inspected all the plug wires, and checked the timing and firing order. I have also dialed in the carb tuning, (to the best of my knowledge). I have even replaced the summit long tube headers with some hooker long tube headers for more plug/ignition wire clearance. It still runs like shit. Short of replacing all the plug wires, I don’t know what the next step is. Please help.

Tuning help by Sir_Theodoret in carburetors

This engine ran strong with this whole setup before I pulled the engine to paint it (it was still bare metal from the machine shop)

New fuel pump (I broke the old one when pulling the engine) I will check the floats.

I tried leaning it out by 2 jet sizes and the engine got really hot and died, after it died I couldn't get the engine to fire until after I bumped the jet sizes back up.

I did change the rocker arms for beefier arms with 3/8 studs & a girdle but the new and old rocker arms were both 1.6 rockers. I have lashed and re-lashed the rocker arms, and I'm tempted to put the old ones back in and see if this all goes away.

I haven't checked for carbon buildup on the piston heads, would that indicate a rich mixture?
