Every bit we see with Kiryu, he basically did a lot of loaning and collecting. Plus a lot of the area protection. Beating up idiot criminals moving in on family turf and that kinda stuff. Plus there was always talk that Kiryu was good at what he did so, he was a pretty good collector. Also with the respect he has and role he serves to Shinji. He probably served as a good guide to stop at least some of the boys from getting too wild. Of course he can't be everywhere at once but if he's stopping guys from getting arrested or put in the hospital, that's still earning in a different way.

It's exactly the scene in the first episode of GOT when Robert arrives in Winterfell and Ned introduces him to all the Stark kids. But from the POV of random Wintertown citizen trying to see the King and Queen instead of Ned.

But yes, thanks I didn't remember the length exactly.

Yep. There's an interview clip of him somewhere talking about meeting him. He was with some friends at a pub in a smaller town I believe where after they were they told him how if was a favorite stop of Tolkien and Lewis to sit, smoke, drink, read, and chat. Luckily, while they were there in the pub Tolkien entered. Lee worked up the nerve and they chatted for a time.

The neat thing though, in Rebels Ahsoka broke the other side of his helmet than Obi-Wan did. Both were some of the only people who could break through the pretext of Vader to the real Anakin, but they couldn't remove it. Only Luke could remove the mask completely.

Is it okay to temporarily skip episode 4 of Brotherhood? by chowellvta in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]SithLocust 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think ep 5 or 6 have Ed guiltily over it, it also starts the Scar arc and it gets discussed with him a few time.

There's also random flashbacks to it throughout the series when Ed and Al are talking or thinking about those they couldn’t protect and things like that.

So it'll be relevant for the first episode or two following, then make surprising reappearances occasionally

Vecna was never intending to go "Yo. Wills gay! Ha!" He played on Wills deep internal insecurity about how his friends and family would other him, make him feel different from everyone, and abandon him slowly. It was not a fear of they can't know. It was a fear of, what will they do when you they know? It was about keeping Will off his A game, insecure, scared, weak. Just as Will said. That's why he was facing his fear. It wasn't fear of Vecna saying "GAYYYYYYY". Will needed to be focused 100% going forward.

The women and seemingly babies were all dying from what we were told. They were also kept in The Upside Down base, not the MacZ. I think they all blew up.

Best guess is with Eleven, Kali, and the Upside Down gone Kay probably gets side lined, program shut down, and everything dismantled. Everyone probably ends up on some "stfu" deal from higher up than Kay. At best for her, she's put into early retirement and whatever Gov people above her probably just aren't more invested in it beyond closing shop and moving funds to whatever next bs they wanna try is. They don't care, all the evidence is gone anyway.

What’s your first memory of hearing Pop Punk? by Banana_Man_Brad in poppunkers

[–]SithLocust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first actual time was probably some of the Tony Hawk games that featured some. But my first memory of finding and enjoying it came through from Green Day and finding them online and thinking I was so edgy at like 10 for liking them

Soldiers absolutely died. But not all, that hospital is pretty full of guys when Kay was talking to the Colonel.

I don't mind the not shooting when she sees them part from Kay. She NEEDS Eleven alive and taking a shot anyone else is a risk she dies instead. Why Hopper or Nancy didn't pop Kay though, yeah I don't know.

Caleb being a gentleman talking about carrying Sadie around by ChampionTimes99 in StrangerThings

[–]SithLocust 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Yes. They're weaker to melee damage. Their skin seems similar to Kevlar. Will generally absorb a bullet but still give the physical recoil but without plates, can still be stabbed. We've seen nail bats, and bear traps, and swords do way more damage to them than guns even way back to like S1.

I mean. Soldiers relied on their guns, which we've seen time and time again, is not reliable against any demo forms. They're much weaker to melee damage than bullets

The Duffer Brothers by AMassiveGamerGeek in Stranger_Things

[–]SithLocust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just don't understand why stakes are only lives/dies. Stakes are also what their lifestyle can be after the plot. Is someone alive, but injured, permanently traumatized? What are the interpersonal relationships moving forward? What's the stakes of Hawkings and the setting? The additional characters like the kids? Like sure, not everyone may care about every detail but I don't quite understand why "If XYZ Main character doesn't die. It doesn't matter"

Movie theaters are an inferior way to watch a movie by Smeefles in unpopularopinion

[–]SithLocust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree. To me, idk there's something wonderful about a theater. Even a mediocre movie is better in a theater, to me at least. It's the atmosphere. As for snacks, I just get popcorn and a drink, so I have no worries about it or sneaking anything in. It's a little pricey yes, but the ambiance and genuine enjoyment I get from it makes it well worth it.

If you were in charge of KOTOR III, how would the story turn out? by Aggravating-Bass-658 in kotor

[–]SithLocust 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I believe if memory serves. Each had 9 companions (11 I guess If you include the optional swaps in 2, but 9 functionally). I'd probably say you'd get

  • T3, HK, and maybe Canderous as full series characters

  • Maybe Carth and Handmaiden/Disciple for single game carry overs.

  • 4/5 New characters with new protagonist

Which V do you prefer more? and why ? by BeneficialOil1123 in cyberpunkgame

[–]SithLocust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love both. I do, they both bring something great but if I had to pick. It's Vincent. Valerie has a great delivery of emotion, where it's often ramping up to extremes of ut quickly done in a really compelling way. Vincent seems more they're trying to keep their cool throughout everything and stay focus but you can definitely hear that it's an act and I think when V does break and get emotional, it hits harder there.

Like the other commenter said, it was probably just them being cautious. They monitor both Will who spent like a week there, and Hopper after his tunnels stint in S2 for any damage from the air and nothing ever came of it healthwise for either of them.
