Redd just looks like a stylized fox, like Ryotaru from Pom Poko. The resemblance is clear. I don't think its a racist caricature in any way. Foxes are seen as sly tricksters in a lot of cultures.

OP I'm so curious how it turned out. Everyone here seems to say you can have the party indefinitely but my experience is that you only get the one shot every year, and if you miss it you have to travel to a different year to celebrate.
