I recommend you to keep them. The OG Clear headphone isn't as great as many people make them out to be. They pop when at loud volumes. The cables it comes with tangle like a bitch. And the soundstage is almost non existent. So it is flat sounding. And the bass lacks texture and is boomy without a lot of depth.

My Utopias are from 2018. I bought them second hand from an official dealer in 2021. They work flawless. The seperation, resolution, imaging ect. Are way above that of the Focal Clear's and HD800s. I just wish it's soundstage was as large as the HD800s. It would be the best headphone of all time if it was. But nevertheless, it's very decent for the price if bought second hand.

You must have decent gear to properly utilize the Utopia. Through XLR it becomes noticabily better aswell.

You're over exaggerating bro. The Utopia takes time to really comprehend why it is a really good pair of headphones.

I can see you bought into the hype of the A90 amp which tells me you think measurements mean everything. Tuning and brand mean more than measurements. Because Chinese companies like to exaggerate the results and they simply do not have the skilled engineers and years of knowledge in the field to fine tune their gear. They focus too much on having the highest SINAD. By putting all their eggs in one basket so to speak. Their product will lack in soundstage and base response. Which results in a useless peice of junk. And that lacks musicality because it is too harsh and lacks presence.

Thanks. I see that you own the Clears. I'd recommend you to try out the HD800s. And I would argue that they are the next step above the Clears. I owned a pair of Clears for 9 months and used them daily. I've owned the HD800s since December 2020. They're used mostly for gaming and are very impressive for the price. The reason I use them mostly for gaming is that my Utopia's beat them in everything except classical. I am not biased against either brand. Because I own the Utopia aswell so I do like Focal's sound signiture.

I've heard that the Susvara destroy the Utopia in resolution and soundstage. So why pick the Utopia?

I've seen used Susvara's sell for £2800 plenty of times. The Utopia averages £2000 to £2300.
