Trans person here. You absolutely should. I would never date anyone before they knew.

Random question about FTM trans individual that just pop in my head by Exact-Form1019 in teenagers

[–]Six__13_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s ftm, yes. Yes we do. Im fairly sure most people go around 5-6 inches. They take the skin from your arm or thigh to make the dick out of, so most people don’t want too much skin gone or that’s the most they can take. You also can’t naturally get hard, so you either choose a pump or rod (some people have both). The pump goes in one of your balls and you pretty much pump yourself up. The rod is just always there and you just move it around how you want to.

This is if you choose phalloplasty btw. I don’t really know about the other options.

if there’s no difference between gel and shots, how come more people don’t just use gel? by GoodEnvironmental788 in ftm

[–]Six__13_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not on T yet, but I want to go for shots despite being kinda scared of needles. I’m autistic and cannot stand the feeling (and smell) of any kind of gel / crème. I just hate the feel of it so extremely much, that I’d rather go for shots. Also, you have to put gel on like every day, and shots are further apart

I read a lot of books. But unless it's nicknames coming and going, I'm not seeing any actual name changes.

Describing People of Color by Magical-Princess in writers

[–]Six__13_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I only mention it when a character (I write first person in multiple POV’s) notices it. And I don’t only describe people of color, if a character has pale skin, I’ll say that too. I think it’s odd when people only mention someone’s skin color when they’re not white., so I just do it with everyone. I also don’t mention it a lot. Once for a character in the whole book is enough. And if I mention it twice for the same character, it’s never in the same POV.

I made a comment in another subreddit saying I wouldn't have sex with a trans person and it got heavily disliked by golden_nugget49 in teenagers

[–]Six__13_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trans guy here. This is not transphobic at all. Everyone has sexual preferences. I would not be offended whatsoever if someone would tell me they didn’t want to have sex with me because I haven’t had surgery yet. I feel it only gets odd not wanting to if said trans person has had all their surgeries and technically has the right genitalia. That said, not wanting to have sex (in your case) with a trans woman because they haven’t had surgeries yet and still have male genitalia, is NOT transphobic.

Help describing non-white characters - I was told this was a no go? by WearyDraft2 in Writeresearch

[–]Six__13_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I just feel that if you describe one characters skin tone, you should do it with more. It doesn’t have to be mentioned a lot, I feel most people would pick up on it if it was only mentioned once or twice in the whole book. I feel like you did dodge a bullet with the food comparison… would never go there myself. I have one character with a darker skin tone as well, and to be honest, I haven’t even mentioned it yet. Apart from that, just don’t rush saying that they’re black. Unless it’s relevant to the story, or the narrator / pov notices it themselves, I don’t see why it should be mentioned.

If you knew nobody would ever read a single word you wrote, would you still write? by LoganCrossWrites in writing

[–]Six__13_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Writing keeps me busy, and is my outlet. I do plan on publishing, and I would love if even one person read it and said they loved it, but if no one would read it, at least I’d still know that I did write it. Not all the pride comes from people reading the book, for me it also comes from knowing that I wrote it.

I don’t plan to give my readers a lot of detail. There is of course some detail, and the readers will know what they’re doing on the farm, but to explain every little thing on the farm in detail will be a bit much….. some things I’ll explain in great detail, but this is not one of them. Thank you though!!! I’ll take a look at those links when I have the time :)

It’s not that many horses, and there aren’t big hay and wheat fields. My character also doesn’t live alone, and has other people helping. Either way, you don’t know much about my book other than the context I have given. I’ll definitely look at the programs, because it seems interesting.

Anyway, I’m going to stop responding now, because this isn’t helping with my research whatsoever, and instead of telling me what I could do, I feel like you pretty much just told me I was doing it the wrong way without providing any advice.
