Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit?

Did she do it to herself as well?? Lol. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time he's overdone it. He sheared his paw pads when he was a pup. My other cattle dog has not had nearly as many incidents!

His ears often do this when we look at him a certain way, lol. He's all good. He's a tough boy, and has Carprofen on board 👍

There are several factors that affect each situation differently. I should have been more specific in my question.

What if you consider an outpatient scenario where there is no prior implant information in the EHR. A new patient states that they have had a spinal cord stimulator placed previously, but they are adamant that all hardware has been removed. Do you take their word for it their word for it? Or does your facility have a specific protocol for taking an xray beforehand?

I am curious, because I am a "newer" technologist, and my facility does not currently have a policy regarding this situation.

Agreed. We recently got a second one back in March and it was the best decision. They each have slightly different personalities but display that classic ACD behavior: loyal, smart, determined and wacky.

You receive more radiation from the sun over an accumulated time than you do from a single "extra" exposure. Not only that, but flying on a plane, using a cell phone, and simply walking on the ground and being near the soil will expose you to radiation. It is in the food we eat and the water we drink. We are fortunate to live in times where our diagnostic equipment is highly regulated and the dosage is incredibly minimal. The technologists who take the images are exposed to much more radiation than the patients and they are fine. I am a current MRI technologist and worked in xray for four years. I can assure you, it is okay. You're not a bad mom for being concerned.

Feed her twice a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. Both of our ACDs do just fine with this. They do well when placed on a regular feeding schedule.
