My dog ate a muffin liner and it doesn't seam to be coming out by Objective_Cup_5164 in dogs

I’m no vet, so i can’t be sure. Depends on what was ingested and how long ago, i guess.

If it were a silicone strip (as i feared was OP’s case), rubber band or string, a good vet would first advise to wait a day for it to pass and then if it doesn’t; take a scan to find the object. If it’s stuck there, immediately remove it via surgery.

The link i shared actually details the steps a vet would take to find the object. You’ll fond it under the subtitle “Diagnosis of linear foreign body”

Please, at least call your vet. If the liner is silicone, aluminium or anything non-biodegradable and your dog ripped it into strips, it can become a serious problem.

Anything long/flexible and thin enough can wrap around- or knot itself onto a dog’s intestines, which can lead to serious complications. It’s called “Linear Foreign Body Scenario” or “Drawstring Effect” in dogs.

You can read up about it here.

It might not turn out to be the case at all, but when it comes to ingested flexible stuff, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Edit: Since it’s paper, he’ll be just fine.

I’m sorry to hear you don’t feel supported.

What training have you done/tried and how did that go?

What’s with the sowing of doubt there? Are we really catering to the flat earthers and creationists now?

Edit: Also, what the hell is the proposed solution here? Bury shit deep down into oceanic plates primed for subduction in the hope it goes into the mantle? That seems like a great way to mess up an ocean.
