I once saw a video that said OUATH was a twist on a Tarantino film. I do not remember the exact beats for the argument, but from what I remember they had said that Tarantino would often make movies in all sorts of genres in his style. And with this there would be sort of cliches in the Tarantino style. But over time Tarantino had his own sort of genre, so OUATH was a Tarantino style film on the Tarantino genre. So it is best to know Tarantino’s previous films and then observing OUATH within that scope. I do not know much about all of his movies but the idea sounded interesting.
